RE: Realignment of the Cardinal Soccer Club Training Staff

Dear Coaches and Parents,

In an effort to improve and strengthen the Cardinal Soccer Club, the board is pleased to announce an addition to and realignment of our training staff. These changes will enable the club to continue to grow while developing exceptional players and insure that the Cardinal Soccer Club will continue with its success and remain one of the leading organizations in the country.

As you may know, the Cardinal Soccer Club is a subsidiary of the Girls Southeast Soccer Club. The first and biggest step towards turning the club around is to strengthen the connection between the recreational side and the Select side of Girls Southeast Soccer. The two sides of the organization need to come together!

The employment of a 3rd assistant Director of Coaching to organize, develop and help run both the recreational side of the club and the U8 select soccer program within the Cardinals is a step in that direction.

Ron Quinn, former Xavier Women’s head coach has accepted this position and will start immediately.

Ron brings with him great knowledge and depth to both programs. Respected nationally and internationally for his development of youth soccer and his organizational skills, there is no better individual for the job.

Of course, Greg and Paulette who have been crucial to this club’s success, will remain in their assistant director roles, with each one being freed of some of the non-training responsibilities that have been required of them. Beginning in the fall, Greg will be training the U9-U11 age groups, and Paulette will be training the U12-U14 age groups. Greg and Paulette will continue with the winter training as they have in the past. Ron will be charged with the U8 organization and training, and with duties within the Girls Southeast Recreational program. Those duties will strengthen the recreational coaches and players and also increase the presence of the Cardinal Soccer Club in the recreational program.
